Burberry Prorsum Resort 2016
Christopher Bailey introduced a lot of textures and contrast- a lot of Laces and macramé Technique in Burberry Prorsum Resort 2016. It’s his modest approach to evening wear to continue, the label signature chesterfields and wide collared pea coats are pieces to be cast on for any occasion and give themselves to the idea of transitional dressing in order, modern outlook.
Christopher Bailey feminine and lady like Silhouette –gowns, A lines & Shifts came with an abandon of embellishment. The Rigid and structured silhouette was departing from the embellished bohemian recent collection to more fitted, feminine classic high society looks, but with a modern point of view the entire collection of dresses and coats has given more commercial outlook.
Let’s talk about Colors, the collection was made of different layers of different laces which are in white, Coral blue, rare pink Chantilly lace and black macramé floral and there are different kinds of braiding also involves which are running through different laces and the colors which are influencing braiding are mainly gold and silver and give an appearance of military look. The Gown which stood away for me was the black high waisted gown with silver metallic embroidery.
The Coats have drama attached to it, although one can associate to clean lines, at times they seem alike at dresses. A dark trench coat with a full, shaped skirt was embroidered with thick cotton strips of Aztec like Geometric Pattern while a navy blue double breasted style was made from coated felt with macramé lace panels running down the other. Another great act was done in zebra pattern, part of animal theme that also went through the assemblage. In the end I will say the collection had a boho vibe like the ensemble with a dress and a poncho and that hobo bag, in a lame man’s terms and not so to be a fashion nut, the entire collection sums up to be boho chic.
